Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Data Analyst Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship. The candidate will contribute to data product development initiatives such as Tableau Accelerator, CompetitorIQ, DataSkillsIQ, and SuburbIQ. They will also be involved in client projects as part of DashboardWorx’s consulting work.
Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of our in-house “IQ” products such as Tableau Accelerator, CompetitorIQ, DataSkillsIQ, and SuburbIQ

Assess the current capabilities of the “IQ” platform and identify additional metrics, charts, and visualization that can improve the platform's utility
-
Conduct advanced SQL modeling and ETL on BigQuery (GCP) by referencing the "IQ" platform's database, ERD, lineage, and data dictionary
-
Design new features that address these gaps. This might include developing new types of visualizations or charts that present data in more insightful ways or creating new tabs that organize information more effectively.

Assist in various client projects and be able to drive a project end-to-end including data cleaning, collection, modeling, analysis, and presentation

Prepare comprehensive documentation and usage guidelines that will assist users in effectively utilizing the new chart component.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret findings and implement improvement strategies.

Develop reports and presentations to communicate key insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Objective & Key Results (OKR):

Enhance the functionality of DashboardWorx’s “IQ” Products
-
Identify and document at least 5 significant gaps in the current features of Tableau Accelerator, CompetitorIQ, DataSkillsIQ, and SuburbIQ.

Design and prototype 3 new features for any of the “IQ” products that address identified gaps and improve data visualization or user interaction.

Successfully manage and deliver at least 1 client project from data collection through to analysis and presentation within the internship period.
-
Present a final internship capstone project that showcases learned skills and contributions to the DashboardWorx product suite to the senior management team.
Preferred qualifications and skills:

Must hold a “Certified Data Analyst” certification from The Data Analytics Institute Pty Ltd
-
Product development mindset, and be able to conduct a gap analysis

Well-versed with SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and Looker.

Familiar with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery (or any other other Cloud Platform such as Azure, Databricks, or Snowflakes)
-
Python knowledge will be an added advantage; but not a must-have requirement
-
Strong analytical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
-
Robust data analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design capabilities using common query languages.
-
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
